Boss is eager to convince Chelsea that the best place for Alex's development is here.
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he has had initial positive talks with winger Alex Kiwomya regarding his future. The Alex boss is keen to extend the loan period of the on-loan Chelsea winger until the end of the season, but admits that the decision over the former England Youth International will rest with his parent club.
Kiwomya has scored five goals so far this season and he has had recently returned from a shoulder injury, which saw him miss five games.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We haven’t spoken to Chelsea yet but Alex is fully aware of it. He knows we would like to keep him and I’ve had a chat with him.
“It was all really positive, which is good. He is playing, enjoying his football and has been in good form for us. Hopefully, it will be possible to keep him but sometimes these decisions are out of our hands and that of the player.
“Chelsea will do what they feel is right for his development and we will respect that but I know he is enjoying it here and that is important.”
