Homework Done On Wolves Youngsters

3 October 2016

James Collins says that the work has been done for Wolves encounter.

James Collins admits that although the coaching staff are not totally sure who Wolverhampton Wanderers will play in our Checkatrade Group B game tomorrow evening, they have seen Scott Sellars' Wolves’ Development Squad in action this season.

The Alex host Wolves at Gresty Road tomorrow night aiming to progress into the knockout stages of the competition with another win to follow up from our 3-0 win at Accrington Stanley.

Collins told the club’s official web-site: “It is difficult to know what team Wolves will pick because you are unsure how many over-aged players they will choose to play and who they will be. It is very open on that but we have watched their Under-23s this season.

“We watch Under-23s football quite regularly for scouting reasons, so we are aware of their young players. We will prepare like we always do and we know they have their own style of play. It will be more like a Premier League way of playing, based on possession, so we are looking forward to a good game.

“We can only really focus on ourselves and what we want to do. We have to make sure we are right, that we can defend right and if we can do that then we are a match for everyone.”
