Steve Davis will meet with Chelsea staff in relation to Kiwomya's future.
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he has made contact with Chelsea in relation to the future of Alex Kiwomya beyond his initial loan spell with us.
The Alex boss is keen to extend the winger’s loan period with us and will host Chelsea staff to evaluate his future.
Kiwomya has hit five league goals already this season and recently returned from a shoulder injury to hit the equaliser at Notts County at the weekend.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “I have made contact with Chelsea and they will come up and visit us to have a chat. They will talk about his progress and to see what is next best for him. He is their player and it will be their decision.
“I am sure they will see that we have created an environment for him to thrive and enjoy his football but they will decide what is next best for him.
“I have spoken to Eddie (Newton) about him. I know Eddie; I played with him when he came to Oxford on loan. We are in contact and it is all about the players’ development but we hope we can keep him.”
