Dagnall Looking Forward To Luton Test

6 October 2016

Chris Dagnall says it is always a great atmosphere at Kenilworth Road.

Crewe Alexandra’s in-form striker Chris Dagnall believes that we have to be a little cuter in possession if we are going to break down stubborn defences. Crewe have found it hard to find a way past the organised back-lines of Blackpool and Mansfield at our Gresty Road home.

Dagnall has scored two in two against Mansfield and then Wovles in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday evening and the experienced goalscorer appreciates that it will be a good test of our resolve against Luton this weekend.

Dagnall told crewealex.net: “It is important when you have lost a game that you come back positively and bounce back and that is what we will be hoping to do on Saturday.

“A lot of teams we have played lately have based their game on trying to stop us playing and it has made it difficult. We have to be a bit cuter and clever in the final third to find a way around that.

“It is important that we remain patient, don’t get anxious and try and force the issue. If we can do that then I am sure our performances will be better and we will get back to winning games again.

Chris added: “Luton is always a tough place to go but it is a good atmosphere there. There are always plenty of fans and they are vocal, so it should make for a good game. We are all looking forward to it and it will be a great experience for those ones who perhaps have never played there before.”
