Boss Would Like Another Quick Winger

26 October 2016

In an ideal world, boss would like another quick winger to improve his forward options.

Steve Davis says he would like to add another quick winger to his squad in the January transfer window. The Alex boss feels that a winger in the same mould as Alex Kiwomya would provide another option in the final third, as it would free the on-loan Chelsea starlet to perhaps play centrally on occasions.

Davis is conscious of the fact that he is relying on Ryan Lowe, 38, to play the majority of league games this season and he would like the freedom to rotate his forward players to keep them as fresh as can be in the run-in.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “in an ideal world we could do with another quick winger. One like Alex, who can run in behind or go on the outside. It would be difficult to find one.

“If we can find one on loan then it would give us the option to use Alex upfront in certain games. He is the one who can run in behind for us because of his great pace.

The boss added: “Having pace at whatever level is a great advantage to have. If we could get one in then it would give us a chance to rotate. We are relying on Ryan (Lowe) to play 40+ games and that is going to be tough for him.”
