Boss aiming to avoid back-to-back defeats with result at Luton.

Steve Davis says it is important that his Crewe Alexandra team keep chipping away to pick up points.

The Alex have not won in their last three League Two games but he has been pleased that we have managed to fight back from going a goal behind against Blackpool and Mansfield to salvage a point.

Ahead of a tough assignment at fourth placed Luton, Steve told crewealex.net: “It is important that he continue to pick up points even when things are going against us.

“We want to win every game but of course that is impossible. Therefore, it is important to grind out results and keep chipping away.

“If you lose one, it is important that you do all you can not to lose the next one. That is our aim as we don’t want to have too many back-to-back defeats.

“We are playing a team in Luton who are up there and around us and we don’t want to suffer back-to-back defeats. We want to build on the start we have made and do even better.”
