Billy Bingham says Crewe are well equipped to be involved in the promotion race.
Billy Bingham has told the club’s official web-site that he still believes Crewe Alexandra are still very much in the race for promotion. The midfielder has started the club’s last four games and he will be hoping to get the nod again for our trip to Leyton Orient this weekend.
The Railwaymen suffered a blip against Yeovil Town last weekend with Matt Dolan scoring a direct free-kick at the Alexandra Stadium, but Bingham believes that there is no reason why we can be involved in the shake-up at the end of the season.
Billy told the club’s official web-site: “There is no reason why we cannot be involved in the promotion race and go up this season. At various times this season, we have played some good stuff and we just need to pick up more points.
“The league is a mixed bag and with all due respect there is a step up into League One. When I signed at Crewe from Dagenham, I didn’t think there would be much of a difference but there is.
“That is not to say that you don’t have to work hard for every point in League Two because you do. You have to be on it every game because there is no such thing as an easy three points.
“You have to be on your game or you will get punished. We approach each game trying to win it and if not then we have to make sure we are not beaten either.
Bill added: “You have to stay focussed, concentrate and make sure you do the right things to try and get as many points as we can.”
