Turton Relishing Recovery Break

30 November 2016

Ollie disappointed to be out of Cup, but using time wisely

Crewe Alexandra's Ollie Turton is focussed on using the current two-week enforced match-free break to his advantage to fully recover from a recent injury problem.

Turton was forced off in the initial FA Cup First Round clash with Cheltenham at Whaddon Road, ruling him out for a further three games before his return.

Planning to use the time to build back up to full fitness, Turton is looking forward to this weekend's rest, but is also using the training days for gym work & ball-work to get fully back up to speed.

Turton told crewealex.net: "We'd love to still be in the FA Cup, but it will be nice not to have a game on the Saturday.

"I've been struggling with injuries, I missed three games, so it will be nice to get back to full fitness & get everyone together & build-up towards the game the following Saturday.

"With the way the team was, because others were struggling with injuries too, it's good to have the time to recuperate because we'll now be able to get most of the squad back together & we'll look forward to the Crawley game."
