Boss hoping injury list does not grow after scans.
Crewe Alexandra are hoping that midfielder James Jones and defender Harry Davis are not set to join the club’s growing injury list. Both players underwent a scan yesterday after complaining of tight hamstrings. It is hoped that a tear has not occurred and that they will be available for the weekend trip to Barnet.
On-loan winger Alex Kiwomya also went for a scan yesterday afternoon and he remains a major doubt for the club’s first ever trip to the Hive Stadium after coming off at half-time against Cheltenham.
Crewe are without striker Chris Dagnall (calf) and Zoumana Bakayogo (hamstring) but have been boosted to the return to fitness of Ryan Lowe, who scored on his comeback from an ankle injury against Cheltenham on Tuesday evening and defenders Ollie Turton and George Ray, who have both resumed light training.
