Steve Davis gives his post-match reaction following 2-1 win.It was a hard fought win for the Alex, who won the game thanks to first half goals from Alex Kiwomya and James Jones. Afterwards, Davis told the club's official web-site:
Alex boss Steve Davis was delighted with his side's character after they fought back from going down to an early Rhys Turner goal to secure our first home win in eight games. It's four points in three days for the Alex and the win moves back into the 7th place in the League Two table. "It was much needed, it's important that you win.
"We had a good performance against Plymouth and didn't get the win and at the end of the day we want to win games and the fans want to see us win games.
"However you do it, we weren't at our best, but we battled away and got the three points.
"We didn't put the game to bed and that was the disappointing thing.
"We just hoped to see the game through, and we did.
"At times we played football, at times we didn't show enough quality and made some poor decisions.
"The back four stood up to their threat, apart from their counter-attack goal which we had talked about in the week and them breaking fast on us.
"We got the knock-downs and put the blocks in, and the back four did well."
