Steve Davis looks forward to meeting up again with Jim Bentley.

Ahead of our mid-week clash at the Alexandra Stadium, Steve said: “It will be nice to catch up with Jim. It’s been a while since I’ve seen him.

“I think he has done a magnificent job at Morecambe with no money and been able to keep them in the league. I have a lot of respect for him.

“They made a great start to the season, as they always do, but they have lost one or two key players. Jim has the ability to get the best out of his group though. The key for any manager is being able to do that.

“He still has good players and they are a threat. They have scored a number of goals, but have also conceded a few, so he will be looking to address that. They will certainly be competitive and organised and they will typify a Jim Bentley type of team.”
