Lowe Resumes Light Training

14 November 2016

Striker has outside chance of beign involved in FA Cup tie.

Club captain Ryan Lowe is doing everything he possibly can to make himself available for tomorrow night’s FA Cup replay against Cheltenham Town. The striker missed Saturday’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Plymouth Argyle due to the ankle injury he sustained against Chesterfield in the Checkatrade Trophy but after undertaking intensive treatment last week, the 38-year-old veteran is hoping to resume light training today.

If Steve Davis elects to risk the vastly experienced striker against Cheltenham is another thing entirely but Lowe is eager to be involved in some way if he can prove he is 100% over his knock.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “It is more encouraging with Ryan. He hopes to do some light training with us at some point. It is more positive with him but we will have to see if Tuesday has come too quickly for him.

“If he doesn’t make it tomorrow, then he has a really good chance of making the weekend against Barnet.”
