Winger ruled out of Barnet clash after picking up bug.
On-loan Chelsea winger Alex Kiwomya is definitely out of this weekend’s League Two encounter at Barnet after suffering with a bug. The winger has also been struggling with a tight hamstring, but Davis has given the forward time off, as to not spread the bug around the training ground.
Manager Steve Davis says he will give his injured players as long as possible to make themselves available for selection for the weekend and may allow one or two to undergo fitness tests ahead of kick-off.
Steve told crewealex.net: “It has been difficult with the injuries we have had so we will give them as long as possible. We are travelling down today, but we may wait to make a decision on one or two of them tomorrow. We will have to see how they are in training today and then decide if they are worth taking with us.
“Hopefully, we will one or two who will surprise us and will come down with us to London.
He added: “Alex is definitely out. He has a bug and has not trained. He has been kept away from the others so it doesn’t spread around the squad. We have too many out injured as it is, so he is out. “
