Jones Back From International Duty

11 November 2016

James Jones back in good spirits after U-21 experience.

James Jones has returned from International duty with Scotland and is in line for a recall to the Crewe Alexandra midfield. Jones missed the mid-week defeat to Chesterfield in the Checkatrade Trophy in order to represent Scotland at Under-21 level in Slovakia. The Scots were beaten 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon and Jones returned to the UK in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Ahead of this weekend’s home game against league leaders Plymouth, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Jonah is back with us and is fine. He is in good spirits and is available for us.

“He played the 90 minutes and although they were well beaten by Slovakia, it would still have been a great experience for him. It is good to see his performances being recognised at that level and good for the club to see one of our younger players playing at that level.”
