Steve Davis says he has started initial talks with experienced midfielder.

Steve Davis has revealed that he will hold talks with his defensive midfielder Danny Hollands in reference to his future. Hollands, 31, has a short term contract with the club that ends in mid-January and the Crewe Alexandra boss says that the wheels have been placed in motion with his staff and board of directors.

Steve told the club’s official web-site “We are always talking to Danny because he has moved up here.

 “We talk about how he’s doing and his family as that’s what managing players is all about.

“With December being close and the window in January I’ve been discussing with staff where we want to go before speaking to Danny.”
