Any Club Would Miss Two Main Goal Threats

21 November 2016

Steve Davis says Kiwomya and Dagnall will make a massive difference to our options.

Steve Davis says that having a fit again Alex Kiwoyma and Chris Dagnall will make a massive difference to his attacking options. Both players are expected to be fit for Tuesday night’s home game with Morecambe after overcoming illness and injury.

The Crewe Alexandra manager rightly states that any club in the world would miss two of their main goal threats.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Having Alex and Chris back in the group will make a difference to us because you are taking 11 goals and a number of assists out of your team when they are not playing.

“You miss their creativity, their goals, pace and work ethic and any team would miss two of their main goal threats. If Augero and whoever is out for City at the same time, it will affect them. They will have to look at it differently.

“It effects the rest of the players, because they know that they are not quite at full strength, although the players that have come in and done well.

He added: “Therefore, when you without that creativity and goalscorers, a point away from home in this division is a decent result. We were relatively pleased with that, especially when you look at how many young players we had to go with.”
