Zooms 'Not Surprised' By Leicester Success

Bakayogo says Foxes unity and hard work has paid off with shock triumph

Zoumana Bakayogo says he is not ‘surprised’ that his former club Leicester City have gone on to win the Premier League title.

The Foxes were crowned champions of England for the first time in their history following Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea last night.

Injuries restricted Bakayogo to just a handful of appearances for the club but he still had the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Jamie Vardy, Danny Drinkwater, Kasper Schmeichel, Andy King and Jeffrey Schlupp during his time at the King Power Stadium.

On what is arguably sports greatest ever triumph, Zoumana told crewealex.net: “I am not surprised Leicester have won the Premier League. They have been building towards being successful and have played consistently well over the last few seasons.

“They have talent and they have kept with a lot of the same players, which has helped them. I think (Claudio) Ranieri has come in and added something to it. The spirit is good between them and they work hard. It shows what hard work can do.

Zooms added: “They deserve it. There are some great people at the club and I am happy for them.”
