Boss applauds fans for taking up offer
Crewe Alexandra Manager Steve Davis has been pleased by the amount of supporters getting behind his team for the 2016/17 season by taking up the Club's offer of a reduced priced early bird season ticket.
The first sales window closed last week, with the Club selling over 1,000 season tickets to loyal supporters and Steve admits it's a big boost to have so many fans' backing so soon after such a disappointing 2015/16 campaign.
He told crewealex.net: "It was a great offer. I'm glad the fans have taken up the early bird and I hope the others will all follow suit now. I want them to come and watch a team that fits what they want, works hard and is attractive to watch.
"Some will be waiting for one or two signings and one or two rumours help that of course, it's an exciting time in terms of that It spurs people on to come back to us and support the Club.
"If you're a real supporter you come back anyway. We've got a real good nucleus of fans who are disappointed with the season, as we all are, but also remain hopeful that we can do much better next season.
