Inman Prepares For The Game Of His Life

27 May 2016

Brad Inman hoping to get the opportunity to test himself against England

Crewe Alexandra forward Brad Inman is preparing for arguably the match of his life this evening following his call-up to the Australian senior squad for their friendly game against England in Sunderland. Inman has been permitted to represent the country of his birth, after previously representing Scotland at Under-21 level.

The 24-year-old is now hoping to get the opportunity to test himself against the top players in the country at the Stadium of Light. Inman earned his call-up after scoring ten goals last season in all competitions for the Railwaymen. The club are hoping he will extend his stay with us beyond his current deal but following our relegation to League Two and interest from other clubs this appears unlikely at this stage.

Inman says his call-up to Ange Postecoglou’s squad is a ‘dream come true’ and he is looking forward to testing himself against some of the finest players in the world.

Brad said: "It’s a dream come true for me and hopefully I will get an opportunity to play a part in the game.

"I'm more excited than intimidated, it would be good to match up against the best to see where you stand.

"Because I've been in and around it at Newcastle, I know the level and quality of players.

He added: "This season I managed to get double figures. It was a good season personally, not for the team, but I feel I showed I'm good enough to make the step up.''
