The call marks the 24-year-old's first recognition at senior international level after a stellar season with The Alex, where he notched ten goals.

Enjoying his football over 2015/16, Inman has spoken exclusively to crewealex.net about his maiden call-up.

He said: "I'm honoured to be honest. I have to thank all the guys at Australia who have recommended me and then the gaffer for selecting me. 

"The fact that the match is against England at Sunderland as well is great because my family and friends are all in Newcastle so they can come along.

"I just can't wait to get going now, the squad meets up in a week or so and I really want to make an impression and hopefully earn a spot for future games.

"I've been pleased with my performances this season overall for Crewe and I've played a lot of games. I didn't expect this call but I'm delighted it's come."
