Davis: "Stictly Business On Sunday"

6 May 2016

Steve Davis says he will won't hestiate to relegate his son if needs be this Sunday.

Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis says Sunday’s game will be ‘strictly business’ with his son Joe Davis possibly lining up for Fleetwood Town.

A win for Crewe Alexandra coupled with a victory for Blackpool at Peterborough United would see Fleetwood relegated to League Two.

Ahead of Sunday’s final game, Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site: “Joe knows that it will be business on Sunday. It has always been that way with the family and we are always competitive and professional.

“We will treat the game like any other and we haven’t spoken about it. He will want to make sure that Fleetwood win the game and we want to win back-to-back games to end the season.

“Joe is competitive and so I am, so that is the way we should be. We will got there looking to win the game and if that means Joe and Fleetwood are relegated then so be it.

He added: “It will be similar to last weekend against Doncaster Rovers and we want to win.”
