Davis Not To Be Risked In Final Game

6 May 2016

Harry Davis will not be risked against Fleetwood after receiving a knock on his knee.

Harry Davis is unlikely to be risked for the club’s final game of the season away at Fleetwood after receiving a knock on his knee against Doncaster Rovers last weekend. The club captain will miss the chance to possibly face his younger player Joe Davis, who plays for the opposition.

First team manager Steve Davis says he will not risk the central defender in the final game of the campaign: “I don’t think Harry will be risked. We have four centre-halves, so I will pick two from the three that we have fully fit.

“If it was a game to get us into the play-offs or stay up then I am sure he would play but there is no point risking him now. We have enough cover there and we are looking at different partnerships as well.

“Everyone is fine. Brad looked sharp last week and came on and had an impact as a sub, so we will see if he is worth a start. Lauri wasn’t involved in the squad last week but he comes back into it as well.”
