John Bowler pays tribute to fans for support during difficult season.
Crewe Alexandra chairman John Bowler has thanked supporters for their continued support of the club through a difficult season. Crewe suffered relegation to League Two after four seasons at League One level - but the Alex fans continued to show their support with an attendance of close to 4,500 for Saturday’s visit of Doncaster Rovers.

John Bowler told the Crewe Chronicle this week: ”The board of directors realised from the previous forum that the level of communication with supporters had to improve. Following such a disappointing season, it was important that we held another constructive and healthy discussion with the club’s supporters.
“On behalf of the board I would like to thank all the supporters who attended the forum and presented us with their thoughts and ideas. As a Football Club we will take what was said on board and we look forward to a better campaign.
“It has been a difficult season for everyone associated with Crewe Alexandra and we can only thank all those fans who have continued to support the club.”
