Chairman On Reality Of Relegation Setting In

20 May 2016

John Bowler highlights the need for everyone to stick together

Chairman John Bowler has reflected on a 'bruising' season but feels the time is now to look ahead to the new campaign in a positive light.

Praising the Club's supporters, he is looking forward to welcoming them back for pre-season with the target of League Two promotion in mind.

Mr Bowler told “We feel like it’s a disaster, but I think disasters are only disasters when you don’t learn from them and do something about it to improve in the future.

“Everybody is still bruised. Everybody is still disappointed. I think a number of us feel that we could’ve and should’ve done better and therefore we’ve let the supporters down.

“We’ve got a great group of supporters who I’m sure will continue to be behind us and we’ve got now to look to the future and plan for the future.

“We’ve got a good group of young players that have been blooded this year, now they’ve got to go on next year and get us promoted."
