The Alex chairman has been encouraged by the up take thus far and he remains hopeful

The Club Chairman told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “We have let the supporters down but we have a great group of supporters, who care about their club and I’m sure they will continue to get behind.

“We are still bruised and hurt following relegation. We feel it is a disaster but it is only a disaster if you don’t go out of your way to learn from it and improve.

“I hope that those who have renewed their season tickets, we can convince them to come again. I hope we can encourage them to change their minds.

“We’ve had a lot of criticism, but season tickets sales are now increasing to the levels we have had previously, so that has been encouraging.”
