Brad Inman Called Up For Australia v England

11 May 2016

Alex winger selected in Aussie squad for first time

Crewe Alexandra winger Brad Inman has been called up to the senior Australia national squad for the first time, with the Socceroos taking on England in an international friendly at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Friday 27 May, 7:45pm.

Born to a Scottish mother, the 24-year-old has previously represented Scotland at U19 and U21 level but, after receiving the call from Australia Head Coach Ange Postecoglu, he was 'delighted' to get the opportunity to represent the country of his birth.

Inman enjoyed his most prolific season as a professional in 2015/16, scoring ten goals for The Alex despite the team finishing bottom of the League One table, with that form catching the eye of the Socceroos.

Born in Adelaide, he moved to England at the age of 14 to join the Newcastle United academy before joining Crewe on loan in 2012/13 and then signing permanently the following summer.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to congratulate Brad on his international recognition.
