Boss: "No Favours Coming From Us"

3 May 2016

Steve wants back-to-back wins to end a disappointing season.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis wants his side to finish the season with a victory away at Fleetwood Town this weekend.

Crewe can have a say on who ends up in League Two with us because if we can follow up our win over Doncaster Rovers with another against the Cod Army and their neighbours Blackpool win away at Peterborough, then it will be Steve Pressley’s side heading down.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “It was good to get that first win, especially at home because we didn’t want to go into next season without one. It has been way too long.

“I thought we deserved it for the way we played and for the effort everyone put in. It is a monkey off our backs and with Doncaster having something to play for added some spice to the game.

“It will now be the same at Fleetwood on Sunday. They have got to get something to stay in the league and like Doncaster, we won’t be doing anyone any favours.

He added: “We want a result to end the season on two games unbeaten. Signing off with another victory would be great to take into the pre-season and that is what we will be working towards this weekend.”
