Udoh Will Get His Chances

29 March 2016

Boss pleased with Daniel's first week of work with us

Steve Davis says he will give his latest signing Daniel Udoh every opportunity to show what he can do after handing him his debut in yesterday’s 1-0 defeat to Bradford City.

Udoh, who recently signed from Ilkeston replaced Lauri Dalla Valle in the second half and so nearly scored with his first touch when attempting an ambitious overhead kick. He was unlucky to see it bounce just wide of Ben Williams’ post.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We have signed Daniel as one for the future but we want to see what he can do and that is why I was eager to give him a chance.

“He will get some more opportunities to play before the end of the season, as it will only benefit him for the future.

“Daniel is a great lad and wants to work hard to improve as a young footballer. He has some great attributes. He is a powerful boy and can shoot with both feet. He is eager to learn and is a good listener.

The boss added: “I have been impressed with the way he has trained and the way he has picked things up quickly. He will need some time to adapt but we feel there is a player there and we will give him every chance to develop here.”
