Udoh Hoping For More Chances

30 March 2016

The club's new signing from Ilkeston is hoping to get more taste of first team football after Easter debut.

New signing Daniel Udoh says he realised a ‘dream come true’ when he made his Football League debut for Crewe Alexandra against Bradford City on Easter Monday.

Udoh nearly scored with his very first touch as well, when attempting an ambitious overhead kick that went just wide of Ben Williams’ near post.

The club’s new signing told the club’s official web-site: “I am happy to have made my debut. It is something I’ve worked hard towards and to make my professional was a dream come true.

“I was delighted to have been given a chance and hopefully I will get a few more. I just wanted to come on and try and get a goal for the team because we were losing the game at the time. A point would have been better for us.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t find that goal and get something for the way we played.

“I went to the Sheffield United game as well and I cannot believe we are bottom of the league. We look a decent side but we are bottom of the league.

“Crewe look a good footballing side and the work ethic is there. Hopefully, I will get more chances to show what I can do and hopefully that will come before the end of the season. The next step for me, is to start a game and hopefully score my first goal.

Daniel added: “I will just work as hard as I can and hopefully the boss will give me another chance.”
