U21: Hull 1-3 Crewe

8 March 2016

Brown & Lowery goals secure victory at The Tigers

Crewe Alexandra Under 21's turned around a half-time deficit to claim a 3-1 victory in Hull in their latest U21 Professional Development League Two clash.

The Tigers took the lead from the kick-off, with just 24 seconds on the clock when Will Annan slotted in a cross from the left.

Both sides had chances, but 1-0 is how it stayed heading into the interval.

Into the second period and Crewe came alive, drawing level on 57 minutes through Andre Brown. The striker used his strength to hold off two defenders in the box turning and slotting into the net.

Four minutes later and Alex Morris' side completed the turnaround, midfielder Tom Lowery breaking into the box and firing in low for the lead.

Hull attempted to fight-back but it was Lowery again who killed the game off on 75 minutes, dispossessing the defender inside the box before firing into the net.

With the two goal advantage, Crewe professionally saw out the victory, restricting the hosts from creating opportunities.

First-team injury recoveries Harry Davis, George Ray and Billy Bingham came through 80, 90, and 60 minutes respectively as they edge closer to a senior side start.

Crewe: Richards, Kearns, Davis, Ray, Neal, Ainley, Bingham, Howell, Lowery, Kirk, Brown
