Steve: "We Have Got To Pick Ourselves Up"

Boss looks forward after narrow defeats over Easter period.

Steve Davis admits that it will be difficult to avoid a drop into Sky Bet League Two but the Crewe Alexandra boss still believes that his side have enough spirit to get some results in the remaining seven games.

After suffering two narrow losses over the Easter period to Sheffield United and Bradford City, Crewe Alexandra have now lost four successive games and the Alex boss admits that we desperately need a victory at Peterborough United this weekend if we are to stage a late revival.

Following the 1-0 defeat to Bradford, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “It looks very difficult for us but we have to keep believing and keep going. We go on to the next game and we will aim to win it and hopefully inject some more confidence into the players.

“The Bradford game has mirrored so many of our games this season, performance wise and ultimately result wise.

Steve added: “We will take the positives from the game, as we always do and look at that. The aim is to improve on those positives and rid ourselves of the negatives. That is the more difficult part and it is those little mistakes that have cost us.”
