Perry Earns Praise After Full Debut

7 March 2016

Perry NG impresses on full debut against Burton.

Perry NG has earned praise from manager Steve Davis following his first full start for the club against Burton Albion at the weekend. NG started at right-back with Ollie Turton moving back into midfield to cover for the injured David Fox (calf). Turton was also named captain.

The Liverpool-born NG gave an assured performance in the 1-1 with the top of the table Brewers and won the on-line supporters poll with 54% of the vote for their choice of Man-of-the-Match.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Perry was fine and he was never fazed. He is always fairly composed and he always competes. He has a terrific attitude.

“It was a tough introduction for him against the club that are top of the league but I thought he did very well for his first start.

“He will be a little bit disappointed that he didn’t get tighter to Akins for the goal but he will know that and it is something he will learn from.”
