Steve Davis says that Alex the dressing room still believes we can get out of bottom four.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says there will be ‘no white flag put up’ at the club as we battle to retain our League One status. Crewe host fellow strugglers Blackpool at Gresty Road this weekend in desperate need of three points and a determined Davis says that he and his players will fight until the final whistle on the final day of the season away at Fleetwood.

Steve told crewealex.net: “There will be no white flag going up here. We will fight on and there are 30 points still up for grabs.

“It is not as though there are only two or three games left and we are out of it. We are still in with a chance and we have to get ourselves into a position where we are only relying on ourselves and we can only achieve that by getting wins, especially against sides that are down there with us.

“We have to respond and a win against a team that we need to catch would be the perfect start to what we need to do.

He added: “Confidence is a big thing and we have got to keep on believing because it can change very quickly if you can build some momentum.”
