Jon Guthrie says no-one will be giving up the fight.
Jon added: “Sheffield United are a big club but we have gone there and got results in the past. We have to stand up to it, we know what it is like there and we'll give it everything. ““It is massive for us, there are fans at other clubs who maybe would have given up on us but they have stuck by us.
“The fans have stuck by us which is all credit to them. They are going to be hurting but I can assure you we are hurting just as much as them.
“There are still enough points up for grabs and we have to go into every game looking for three.
“You can't ever give up, we'll never do that, we'll keep fighting to the very end. Even if we are down in games we'll keep going.
It is hard when you are down there, physically and mentally, it is about the mental side you have to stay strong and positive and the players stick together.
“We just have to look forward, stay positive and keep working hard and hope it turns round.
Ahead of our Good Friday trip to Sheffield United, Jon said: “We all knew the importance of Saturday, it was a massive game there's no denying that. We were all devastated afterwards, as everyone associated with the club was.
A repeat of last season’s first ever win at Bramall Lane would certainly provide a massive morale boost entering the final few weeks of the season.
Defender Jon Guthrie says the Alex squad won’t be giving up on the hope of surviving in League One. Crewe are up against it on 30 points but Guthrie and his team-mates that a really positive Easter campaign would still give us a fighting chance with seven matches remaining.
