Daniel Udoh Signs From Ilkeston FC

21 March 2016

Striker pens deal until summer 2018.

Crewe Alexandra have completed the signing of Ilkeston FC striker Daniel Udoh for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old striker has penned a two-year-contract running until summer 2018.

Udoh was an academy product of Stevenage FC and joined Kidderminster Harriers on non-contract terms before joining Worcester City where he played 14 games.

A move back to his native London with Wingate & Finchley followed before Grays Athletic took a punt on the youngster. However, Udoh struggled to break into the team and slipped into local league football where he scored ten goals in ten games prompting Ilkeston to make their move in summer 2015.

Having found his feet at Ilkeston, Udoh has impressed this season and has notched eight goals in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Udoh has also represented the Nigerian national side at Under 17 and Under 20 level.

Daniel has been handed the number 39 shirt for the remainder of the current 2015/16 season and everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to extend him a warm welcome.
