The club's Head of Recruitment says teenager has all the attributes to make the step up into the pro game.
Crewe Alexandra’s Head of Recruitment Neil Baker believes that the club’s most recent signing, Daniel Udoh, will soon break into the first team picture. Baker acted swiftly to recommend the teenager from Ilkeston and the club quickly signed him on a two-year deal after tracking his form over a number of months.
Udoh, 19, is one for the future but he has been handed the number 39 shirt and could yet be involved at first-team level this season if he can impress in training and in the club’s remaining Under-21 fixtures.
Baker, who has recommended the likes of Luke Varney and Steve Jones in the past said: "I have watched him a lot recently and his recent performance against Kidsgrove convinced me to try and get the deal done.
"The chairman was fully supportive when I made my recommendation and we have managed to get him here.
“He ticked lot of boxes while I have watched him and he will bring something different to the squad.
Neil added: “I have told the manager he will be in your first team next season.”
