Alex boss to hold talks with experienced striker to go with Lowe.
Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis is hoping to hold talks with an experienced forward this weekend. Davis has earmarked another forward to supplement his summer signing Ryan Lowe and youngsters’ Daniel Udoh and Callum Saunders.
The Crewe boss has revealed that he is after another forward after letting the Canadian international Marcus Haber go and he admits that it is unlikely that Brad Inman will re-sign this summer.
Steve told crewealex.net: “We could do with another forward. That could be another experienced centre-forward or a quick winger. We have three at the moment with Ryan Lowe, Daniel Udoh and Callum Saunders, so I would like another one.
“I am hoping to have a conversation with an experienced one this weekend. He has a god pedigree and knows the leagues.
“He would be great for us, but I am sure there will be other clubs interested in him as well.
The boss added: “I’m sure we will put our case forward and see where that takes us.”
