Ryan Lowe will have the desired impact in the Alex dressing room
The arrival of Ryan Lowe on a permanent basis is expected to alter the dynamics of the Crewe Alexandra dressing room with his vast experience sure to help the younger players around him. Lowe, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with us last season before being recalled by his then parent club Bury, has re-joined Crewe on a 12-month deal with the option of another year in place.
The 37-year-old rejected an offer from Bury and other clubs to make that return to Gresty Road and boss Steve Davis feels his presence will get the best out of certain players.
Steve told crewealex.net: “I’m sure Ryan here will have the desired impact. He will have that influence and respect around the place and it is important to have that type of mentality around. He has been there and done it and we need to get that right blend of experience and youth.
“Ryan’s main attribute is that he scores goals. He has scored goals wherever he has been and he leads by example both on and off the pitch.
“He is demanding on the pitch because he wants to win. I’m sure he will help us get the best out of the players. He certainly had that with Ryan (Colclough) and Marcus (Haber) had his best spell of the season when he has here.
Steve added: “I’m sure he will turn out to be a great asset for us.”
