Lowe: "My Focus Is Getting This Club Back Up"

10 June 2016

Veteran striker targets the 5th promotion of his career.

Despite being 37, Ryan Lowe, has told the club’s official web-site that he is completely focussed on scoring goals for Crewe next season. Lowe admits that he would like to develop a coaching and management career in the future but any plans remain on hold as he hopes to claim a 5th career promotion.

The veteran striker has returned to the Alexandra Stadium this summer after reaching the milestone of 200 career goals during his last spell at Bury.

Lowe told crewealexplayerHD: “People will look at my age and think I want to become a coach or manager and in time it is something I will consider but my focus is firmly on playing. I want to score goals and win games for Crewe.

“I want to help this club get back to where they potentially belong. I want to guide the younger players and Steve (Davis) has given my licence to do that. I cannot wait to get my teeth into the challenge. It’s a new chapter in my career and I want another promotion on my CV.

“We have a lot of hard work ahead of us, but it something I am looking forward to.”
