Jon Guthrie says he is delighted to win Players-Player vote.
Jon Guthrie has told Crewe Alex PlayerHD of his delight in winning the dressing room vote for their Player-of-the-Season.
Defender Guthrie was voted ahead of goalkeeper Ben Garratt and forward Brad Inman in the player vote.
Guthrie, 23, made 42 appearances last season, scoring his first senior goal against Barnsley back in February.
Jon told the club’s official web-site: “It is nice to win the award and I am delighted to have been awarded it because the players voted for me. It is a great honour to win the award and it means a lot because I train and play with the lads every day.
He added: “It is a great feeling and I was relatively pleased with the way the season went for me individually. The season didn’t go as we planned as a team, so we have to pick ourselves up and go again in League Two which will be a tough task in itself.”
