The Club's Director of Football pleased with old boy's return this summer.
According to the club’s Director of Football, Dario Gradi, the summer signing of Ryan Lowe on a free transfer from Bury, could prove to be the perfect tonic for the young players in the Crewe Alexandra squad. Lowe has signed on an initial one-year deal with the option of a further year and Dario believes that his experience will only help the younger players trying to establish themselves in the starting XI under Steve Davis.
Dario told the club’s official web-site: “I like the signing of Ryan. I have a lot of time for him as a player and as a professional, as a person.
“He will be great for the kids here but he cannot do it all on his own and he will need looking after as well.
“We could do with some experience and those are the players that Steve and Neil are targeting. We could do with another midfielder, the type who can steady the ship in there if you like.
"They decided that (David) Fox didn’t quite fit that bill in the end, so much will depend on the quality of the players they will be able to bring in.”
