First team coach James Collins says he is still learning after passing his pro-licence qualification.
Crewe Alexandra coach James Collins says that passing the UEFA Pro-Licence qualification over the summer has opened his mind up to fresh ideas. Collins achieved the highest coaching qualification on offer and joins Dario Gradi MBE at the Football Club, who also has the ultimate coaching qualification.
Collins, who passed the final stage this summer, told the club’s official web-site: “I passed the pro-licence course in the summer and it is the last qualification you can do.
“I have learnt a lot at Crewe with the likes of Dario, Steve (Holland) and now working with Steve (Davis) and Bakes, but it is always nice to go out and get fresh ideas. It is always good to go out and learn what other coaches are doing and are thinking about the game.
“You do pick things up and it is good. I want to come back and implement things into my own coaching to help the development of our own players.”
