Jon Guthrie voted in by fellow players
Defender Jon Guthrie has been voted by his team mates as Crewe Alexandra's Players' Player of the Season for the 2015/16 season.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign, both at his favoured centre-half position or filling in at left-back and won several Man of the Match accolades in his 42 appearances.
'Guthers' first broke in to The Alex setup in 2012/13 with two appearances before 25 and then 30 games in 2013/14 & 2014/15 respectively.
Beginning to find his feet more at the beginning of last season, he moved from strength to strength over the course of the campaign to effectively establish himself as one of the first names on Steve Davis' team sheet.
Having had his contract extended at the Club, Guthrie will be looking to make a similar impact in Sky Bet League Two next season.
