Ryan Lowe at Colchester voted your winner!
Ryan Lowe has been awarded with Crewe Alexandra's Goal of the Season accolade, as voted for by the supporters, for his stunning 30-yards lob in the last gasp 3-2 victory at Colchester in November.
The 37-year-old was on a six-week loan from parent Club Bury and scored two goals in his six appearances, with his strike at the U's good enough to scoop the award, beating two Brad Inman strikes into second and third place.
Lowe has since, of course, signed permanently for The Alex, but that moment at Colchester will perhaps also be remembered as the best moment of the season on a whole.
Trailing 2-0 to the U's, Lowe emerged from the subs bench to make his debut with Ryan Colclough reducing the deficit, Marcus Haber drawing us level, and Lowey's wonder class injury time lob completing the turnaround inside the final half an hour.
Brad Inman too had a terrific season, and was unlucky to narrowly lose out to Lowe for the award with his fantastic strike following a swift team move against Wigan in January.
Another Inman goal finished third too, this time a more individual effort with a run and finish from the half-way line against Rochdale in February.
