Steve Davis is hopeful of adding a winger to his squad this week. The Crewe Alexandra manager is hopeful of tying up a deal for a wide man to bolster his attacking options and he has targeted a quicker type.

Steve told crewealex.net: “There is a possibility that we could bring one in this week. I want a winger, a quicker winger who can get us the pitch and support the front two. It would give us a different dimension.

“We need one who can create opportunities and support the front two. Our own three played deeper and want to link up the play against Wolves and that can sometimes isolate the front two. We need to find a way to support them and that could mean we need something different to what we have.”
