Steve Davis not ruling out loan moves though.

Steve Davis says his initial focus is on getting permanent signings into the club rather than delve into the loan market. The Alex boss has already managed to tie up Ryan Lowe and Zoumana Bakayogo on permanent deals this summer and he is in talks with other potential targets, including a midfield player and forward.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “I’m focussed on getting the permanent ones in first, if we can. I think it is important to get your own in first and we have a number of other targets that we are pursuing.

“If they do not come off and we don’t manage to get the right ones in then we will look at the other alternatives and that could be loans. We have made a few enquires with clubs about the possibility of them letting some out, but they still want them there to get them through the pre-season.

“We will try and get the ones we want in first on a permanent basis and then see who could be available on loan.”
