Lowe Had Tooth Removed

18 July 2016

Ryan Lowe wanted to play against Wolves despite having tooth removed.

Ryan Lowe played 45 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night despite having a wisdom tooth remained the day before. Lowe, 37, who re-joined the club in the summer was eager to play at the Alexandra Stadium once again and determined to get some more game time under his belt.

The former Bury man combined well with the hard working Chris Dagnall and the new-look partnership is certainly a positive going into League Two.

Steve Davis told us: “I thought the front two combined well and they were looking for each other and trying to get us in behind. They made some clever runs and the linesman got a few decisions wrong because they were not offside.

“Ryan had a tooth out the day before and there was swelling there but he wanted to play and get some more minutes under his belt. He played the first half and Dagnall got an hour or so. They are building up their fitness levels and the partnership looks promising.

He added: “They are both proven and I’m sure they will score goals if we can get the ball to them in dangerous areas. We need others around the team to chip in with goals and assists. They need support as well.”
