The arrival of Dagnall and Lowe has given the Alex squad a major lift.

Steve Davis says that the arrival of the experienced Ryan Lowe and Chris Dagnall has given his young squad an almighty lift ahead of the new season. The Crewe Alexandra boss was determined to create a more potent strike force and is delighted to have signed two strikers who have netted over 300 career goals between them.

Dagnall, 30, signed a two-year deal with the club on Tuesday and he will now team-up with fellow Liverpudlian Ryan Lowe in a new look strike force.

Steve told crewealex.net: “I hope the fans are excited by the signings we have made so far. I would like two more and we are still looking for a midfielder and a quick winger.

“I’m excited because we have two strikers who are proven. They have scored goals at this level and above. They have great experience and I know they will help the group. It has given everyone a major lift because we have two players with a record of getting goals.

The boss added: “Now we will work hard on the partnership but their arrival has given everyone a confidence boost.”
