James Collins gives us his reaction from Moss Lane following 1-1 draw.
"It is another good test, they have all got 90 minutes under the belt and we move on."
"They worked hard and during the second half probably got on top a bit but it was a good work out for our lads. We had enough chances in the first half to have won the game but we couldn't carry that on into the second half but the experience would have done them some good and that is what pre-season is about.
"It was a good test and similar to what we will face at times in League Two. They hit the ball in behind, down the sides and put the ball in the box. They had throw-ins and free-kicks and if you concede enough free-kicks then you will punished at some point. It was a terrific delivery by their lad but we have lost him at the far post and that is something we have to go away and work on.
"If it had been a league game then I'm sure we would have made changes to liven it up in the second half but we wanted to leave them on and see if they could come up with a solution to win the game but certainly not to lose the game. We managed not to lose it but we didn't create enough chances in the second half.
Following another pre-season run-out, James told us: "It was always the plan to give them 90 minutes. The manager wanted them to play the full game and they all came through okay, so that is a plus point. They need to be getting those 90 minutes under their belts now and we have three games left before Stevenage to make sure they do.
Crewe Alexandra's first team coach James Collins gave us his reaction following this evening's 1-1 draw with Altrincham. George Cooper continued his good form with a well taken header but our lead was short lived as we switched off at a free-kick to allow John Cyrus to steal in at the far post to head home an equaliser.
