U21: Huddersfield 1-1 Crewe

18 January 2016

Young Alex side end Terriers 14-match winning streak

James Baillie’s 85th minute equaliser halted Huddersfield Town in their tracks in their bid to make it 15 Under 21 victories on the bounce.

Coach Alex Morris was forced to take a young and inexperienced squad to Yorkshire for the clash against the runaway leaders but a battling performance gave the young guns a share of the spoils.

Despite being goalless at the break, it looked as if normal service was resumed for Huddersfield a minute into the second-half when Jake Charles capitalised on an Alex error to put them in front.

Crewe didn’t give up the fight though and with five minutes left on the clock, Baillie’s instinctive strike earned a point for soul-lifting point for Crewe.
